July 5, 2022

“Black Catholics want to belong and be cared for in the Church.” In part four of Gloria Purvis’ “Racism, Human Dignity, and the Catholic Church in America,” she introduces and presents stories of Black Catholics’ experiences with the Catholic Church in the United States.

These discussions are intended to be the start of a broader conversation about human dignity and racial justice. We hope and pray that this series will continue the conversation about ending racism in the Church and across the world.

Saints Peter Claver and Josephine Bakhita, pray for us!
