In the fifth part of Gloria Purvis’ “Racism, Human Dignity, and the Catholic Church in America,” we meet a black Catholic bishop and priest and learn about the historical experience of black laypeople and the challenges of integration in the Church.
These discussions are intended to be the start of a broader conversation about human dignity and racial justice. We hope and pray that this series will continue the conversation about ending racism in the Church and across the world.
Saints Peter Claver and Josephine Bakhita, pray for us!
