Anthony Doerr’s All the Light We Cannot See, which won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize, is one of the most beautiful and finely-crafted novels I have ever read. And it affirms a core religious truth, that both the visible and the invisible are real and that they wrap around one another in powerful ways.
