Word on Fire Catholic Ministries once again emerged as the premier force in Catholic publishing, winning 34 awards at the 2025 Catholic Media Association Book Awards, more than any other Catholic publisher in the nation.

The victories spanned an impressive range of categories, from theology and biography to children’s books and design. Word on Fire claimed first place in 14 categories, including top honors for The Mind of Benedict XVI, Princesses of Heaven, and the Word on Fire Bible, Volume IV: The Promised Land.

“Our mission has always been to evangelize through beauty, truth, and goodness,” said Bishop Robert Barron, founder of Word on Fire. “These awards are a powerful affirmation of the talent, dedication, and spiritual depth that our team brings to that mission.”

In several categories, Word on Fire had the #1 and #2 award-winning books, including:

  • Biography: First and second place awards for The Mind of Benedict XVI and Women of the Catholic Imagination
  • Design and Production: First and second place honors for Princesses of Heaven and the Word on Fire Bible, Volume IV
  • Children’s Books: First and second place wins for Giovanni and the Fava Beans and Princesses of Heaven: The Flowers

Additional first-place recognitions included The Everlasting Man: A Guide to G.K. Chesterton’s Masterpiece, The Mary Pages, and After Stoicism: Last Words of the Last Roman Philosopher.

These awards confirm that Word on Fire sets the standard for Catholic publishing in America. By combining theological rigor with artistic excellence, the apostolate continues to reach millions worldwide and draw souls to Christ and his Church.
