On April 29th, the Church celebrates the feast day of St. Catherine of Siena, a mystic from the fourteenth century, and a Doctor of the Church. St. Catherine had numerous visions–vivid encounters with the heavenly realm, including receiving apparitions from the Lord. St. Catherine is also known for defending the Papacy in Rome and for her inspiring writings in the Dialogue.
As one of Bishop Barron’s Pivotal Players, St. Catherine of Siena is a dear saint to Word on Fire. To celebrate her feast day, we are making the screening of her Pivotal Players episode available to you at no cost.
