On October 4th, the Church celebrates the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, an Italian mystic and friar of the twelfth century, and the founder of the Franciscan order. St. Francis bore the stigmata and is known for his ministry to the poor and underprivileged, as well as his care for animals and nature.
As one of Bishop Barron’s Pivotal Players, St. Francis of Assisi is an important saint to Word on Fire. In commemoration, we are making the screening of his Pivotal Players episode available to view for free.
