Michael Patrick Barber is Professor of Theology and Scripture at John Paul the Great Catholic University in Escondido, CA, where he serves as the Chair of the M.A. Program in Biblical Theology. He has authored scholarly articles for academic journals such as Journal of Biblical Literature and Letter & Spirit. He has also written popular level books on Scripture. Most recently, he contributed the Catholic perspective to Four Views on the Role of Works at the Final Judgment (Zondervan Academic, 2014), co-written by James D.G. Dunn, Thomas Schreiner, and Robert Wilken. Barber is also the founder of TheSacredPage.com, a blog written by Catholic professors on Scripture and Theology (including John Bergmsa, Brant Pitre, and John Kincaid), a site frequently listed as one of the top “biblioblogs" (Bible blogs written by scholars). He lives in San Diego with his wife Kimberly and their four children.
