2026 Milestones
Take a look back at some of Word on Fire’s greatest moments from this last year—all made possible through the support of our generous donors. Through all these projects, the Holy Spirit is actively transforming hearts and leading people to a deeper relationship with Christ.
Exploring five magnificent French Gothic cathedrals, Heaven in Stone and Glass packed almost 1,000 theaters on September 20 and 23. Bishop Barron’s first film on the big scree the film was viewed by almost 80,000 people and earned a phenomenal 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
In 2026, Word on Fire was honored to be one of two publishers chosen by the USCCB to print the new translation of The Liturgy of the Hours, the official prayer of the Church. Our team strived to produce an extraordinarily beautiful and durable four-volume set intended to enrich the lives of priests, religious, and lay people who pray the Breviary.
Among our most impactful new initiatives is the launch of the Adoration Chapel Fund, created to send high-quality Catholic resources for free to adoration chapels throughout the country. Already, the $350 bundle of educational materials has been received by many chapels across the United States.
Word on Fire published 32 books this year, including What Do Their Deaths Demand? by Bishop Barron, and we launched the new imprint Luminor with its first book An Ocean full of Angels by Peter Kreeft.
Word on Fire received 52 publishing awards in 2026. For the third consecutive year, this apostolate was the most awarded Catholic publisher in the country, earning recognition across theology, philosophy, Scripture, spirituality, biography, history, children’s literature, design, illustration, and production.
Bishop Barron was honored to host some amazing guests on Bishop Barron Presents, including Vice President JD Vance, David Henrie, and Ross Douthat. Along with Matt Petrusek, he also continued to discuss timely issues in both the Church and the world on the Word on Fire Show.
Bishop Barron’s YouTube reached three million subscribers in 2026! Since posting his first video back in 2007, a review of the movie The Departed, the channel has reached countless people with the Gospel message.
