First Book Published by Word on Fire

On March 16, 2015, Word on Fire published its first book: “Seeds of the Word: Finding God in the Culture” by Robert Barron.

The collection of essays, which uncovered “inklings of the Gospel” prevalent in popular film, literature, and culture, set the scene for Word on Fire’s sustained success in the publishing world.

Since its publishing debut, Bishop Barron’s apostolate has released more than one hundred books across five imprints:

Word on Fire, the ministry’s flagship imprint dedicated to accessible, engaging works for popular audiences, including the acclaimed Word on Fire Bible series and works by Bishop Robert Barron.

Word on Fire Classics, re-centering the rich tradition of Catholic literature with revamped editions of essential works that have shaped the Church and changed the world.

Word on Fire Academic, which furthers evangelization in the scholarly domain through groundbreaking, peer-reviewed works of theology, philosophy, literary criticism, and a quarterly journal.

Word on Fire Votive, featuring children’s books for young readers that faithfully form the imagination.

Word on Fire Luminor, the ministry’s newest imprint, which will publish novels, short stories, memoirs, and poetry to illuminate the Catholic vision of life through a literary lens for readers of any faith or none.
