David the King - Leader's Guide
The Leader's Guide includes a Facilitator’s Guide, all six lessons from the participant’s Study Guide, and an Answer Key for the Questions for Understanding. The Facilitator’s Guide explains in detail how to plan, promote, and present the study. Each workbook features a matte finish that is soft to the touch, non-glare, and scuff-resistant. Its flat binding is both sturdy and sleek, sure to withstand many uses, as well as look elegant on your bookshelf.
For group study, you can present the program in six 90-minute sessions. Each session includes video viewing and small group discussion of Study Guide questions. You can also register for FREE online training for all study coordinators and small group facilitators.
Each lesson in the Study Guide provides a detailed commentary on Bishop Barron’s video and “Questions for Understanding" based on the video and on references to Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. There are also several “Questions for Application" in each lesson that help you connect the material to your own life and experience.
The study commentary was compiled under the direction and approval of Bishop Barron by theologian Dr. Jacob Wood. Participants read the commentary in their Study Guide and prepare the questions before the small group discussion. This preparation can be accomplished either before or after viewing the video, as the Commentary in each lesson is very detailed.
If you're planning to lead a David the King Study Program, you may prefer to order the full Leader’s Kit, which includes a copy of this Leader's Guide, the videos, a pack of Called to Kingship booklets and the commentary 2 Samuel by Bishop Barron.
