4 Simple Ways to Share Bishop Barron’s Lent Reflections With Your Parish

February 1, 2016

Share

We’re just nine days away from Ash Wednesday, and over 275,000 people have signed up for Bishop Barron’s daily Lenten reflections. Today, we’ll share four simple ways that you can invite fellow parishioners to join you on this journey through Lent.

(Please pass this on to your pastor, parish administrator, or bulletin designer!)

1. BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT

The simplest way to share this Lenten tool is through a bulletin announcement, ideally the weekend before Lent kicks off (February 6/7). Feel free to copy-and-paste this one:

FREE Daily Lent Reflections – Would you like a deeper, more powerful Lent this year? Then sign up for Bishop Robert Barron’s FREE daily Lent reflections at LentReflections.com or by texting LENT to 22828. Each day, from Ash Wednesday (February 10) until Easter Sunday (March 27), the creator and host of the CATHOLICISM film series will send you a short reflection, straight to your inbox. There’s simply no better way to super-charge your Lent. Be sure to sign-up at LentReflections.com!

Also, here’s a graphic to use in your bulletin. Save it to your computer by right-clicking on it and choosing “Save Image As…”:

2. TEXT-TO-REGISTER

Besides LentReflections.com, we’ve also created a quick way to sign-up through your cell phone. Simply text the word LENT to 22828 (try it out!)

If your parish runs announcements on projection screens before or after Mass, consider including this image as a slide. Again, just right-click and choose “Save Image As…” to download it to your computer:

3. EMAIL BLAST

Perhaps your parish sends out an email blast shortly before Lent, alerting parishioners of special activities, events, and the Lenten schedule. If so, encourage them to sign up for Bishop Barron’s resource:
