Last week, Father Barron traveled to Alabama to film for an appearance on ETWN's
Bookmark with Doug Keck. It was a wonderful day at the recording studios of EWTN, which ended with a surprise guest appearance on Fr. Mitch Pacwa's EWTN Live! Follow the blog for further information on when this episode of

After the filming, Father Barron attending a screening of
Catholicism- Episode One: "Amazed and Afraid" with a group of vibrant, energetic young adults at the
Cathedral of St. Paul in Downtown Birmingham. The event was hosted by the Bishop Baker and his staff and was met with much enthusiasm on the part of these young adults. Father Barron returned to the Word on Fire office inspired by the zeal of this generation for the mission of the Church. Here are a couple of photos from the event:

In addition, Father Barron is leaving today to travel to Rome for a special presentation to the Pontifical Council for Culture, which will take place November 10th-13th. The theme of the assembly is: "The Culture of Communication and New Languages," and Father Barron has been asked to speak on the work of the New Evangelization through Word on Fire. Click
