A little over three-and-a-half years ago, Hanna Rosin wrote an article about her ambivalence to nursing, and by extension, mothering, her children. She tried to make a point that breastfeeding wasn't actually better than formula feeding (or, more accurately, that human milk wasn't measurably superior to formula), and tried to back her point up using old statistics and attempting to manipulate current ones (in reality, the scientific literature continues to say that human milk is qualitatively superior). The article came out when my third child was a newborn, and I remember thinking it was completely ludicrous and missing the point entirely: because so many women actually love nursing their babies. With that article, and now this one, it has cemented my concern for Ms. Rosin and others like her, who appear to believe that advancing "feminism" at any expense, including that of the woman herself, is the most important thing.

Good observations Fr.B. The hookup culture is an old lie with a new twist. The just another failed attempt in the quest for happiness. Like the ads that say you can lose weight in your sleep or learn French in three e-z lessons. The Dylan quote is perfect. FYI: There is a deep connection between "Jokerman" and "All Along The Watchtower". Some may think"Lay,Lady, Lay" is a hookup song. Dylan sings "you can have your cake and eat it too...". I think of it as a love song because of the line. " I want to see you in the morning light!". Dylan says its about his dog named.... Lady.
