Fr. B,
I am all for searching for joy all day, but I am a father of a large family and my work seems to contradict the joy these sisters have. My work (job and daddying) seems to be incompatible with the joy these sisters get. It seems that if I stop to enjoy the presence of a blind child, I get further behind in my duties.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I am a father of 4 and a grandfather of 12 with a very demanding job. Where do we find peace? I find it by giving, especially to those who really appreciate your efforts. Giving to those who need has a completely opposite effect to having to give to those who
want. The peace and joy I sometimes receive from this little effort far outweighs any
inconvenience it may cause. I think this is what Fr. Baron means about emptying yourself, even if it is only a little at a time.
