I love all the videos and all that Father Barron does. I was kind of taken back with this video referring to naiveness related to hope. Because with God all things are possible I find it hard to put limits on God. So, if someone said with God all thing are possible and God can prevent another New Town from ever occurring I could not argue against it without putting limits on God which would be against my beliefs. Possible and probable are two different things. Quantum tunneling is an interesting phenomenon that is an excellent example of possible when even science says something is mathematically impossible...possible not probable.

God bless!

As a recent convert to Catholicism, I have had to think hard about these three things, faith, hope, and love... and I still have a long way to go since I only just started this serious but joyous journey. What I have noticed in the last ten years or so is that the concept of love is so misunderstood in our society. Right now, in the U.S., it is so popular to talk of "love," but it is only the feel-good love. Yes, love really is a wonderful thing, but this kind of love isn't the whole picture. Love, in its deepest aspect, comes to us at such a huge cost. Christ came to earth and died to show us this love. Modern day concept of love just doesn't embrace this sacrifice, which is really heart-breaking. But if we are able to believe it, embrace it, and REMEMBER it, there is no way we could ever take our spouses for granted, abuse our children, or hate ourselves. I wish the whole world could believe it.
